Research Interests

Almost all of my research revolves around the self-concept. One research program has investigated how we protect the self via selective memory. I also study how affective states such as sadness and anger influence self-conceptions, and am particularly interested in mood-incongruent effects. Finally, I do some close relationships research (e.g., attachment theory, forgiveness).
