Research Interests
My research examines issues related to individuals with disabilities across the lifespan, including learning disabilities, ADHD, and autism. I have explored stress in college-aged students with disabilities. I have also worked on developing a violence prevention curriculum for all middle school children, with a special emphasis on strategies for those students with disabilities to encourage their participation and learning. I have also researched family centered care as it applies to children with disabilities, and specifically if professionals who are trained in FCC practices are, indeed, engaging in these practices in their respective fields.
