Research and Clinical Interests
My primary research interests are adolescent delinquency prevention, cross-cultural psychology, and positive psychology. My prior research includes a qualitative study of intimate partner violence among White and American Indian participants, a qualitative examination of perceptions of inhalant abuse, a Structural Equation Modeling analysis comparing factors predicting inhalant abuse across 3 ethnic groups, and a review of historical trauma among American Indians. Currently I am planning a project examining the positive impact of mentoring on adolescents living in Richmond.
